The ETIM Classification Model (‘ETIM Technical Information Model’) is made available under the Open Data Commons Attribution License
The ETIM model is free to use for everyone. But to protect the work done by our community, ETIM International (of which the UK is a member via a partnership between the EDA and BMF) would like to make sure that worldwide there is only one copy of the model being maintained by the rightfull author and owner, which are the members of the ETIM community.
This prevents unwanted derivative models, devations or dialects which will ultimately deflect our community from reaching its goal: a harmonized standard for a product classification model to ensure problem-free exchange of detailed technical product information.
